What is a Personalised plate?
A Personalised number plate is a customised vehicle registration plate that allows you to choose a unique combination of letters and numbers, as well as the plate colour and size that reflects your interests, or individuality.
Personalised number plate combinations must include a total of 6 characters, starting with letters followed by at least one number. This plate uniquely displays the South Australian Piping Shrike state badge between the letters and numbers.
What’s the difference between a Personalised plate and a Custom plate?
Both plates allow you to choose your own combination, but there are some unique differences.

How do I order a Personalised licence plate?

Enter the combination you would like to check for availability. Select your preferred options, preview your plate in real time and proceed to checkout.
You can also order a Personalised plate in person at a Service SA Customer Service Centre (CSC).
Why should I order a slim plate?
A slim plate can give your car a sleek and stylish appearance to create a refined look. Some vehicles are better suited to slim plates. We suggest you measure the space available for your licence plate to decide if slim plates are going to fit your vehicle.
How do you attach Personalised number plates to your vehicle?
Your Personalised plates can be attached using any screws that fit the holes available, however using anti-theft screws provides the most secure option. These are available from any auto or car parts store.
If you are having any issues with attaching your Personalised number plate, we recommend contacting your local auto service repairer for assistance.
How long does it take to get a Personalised plate in SA?
Your Personalised plates will be ready in about 10 working days.
You can collect them from your nominated Service SA Customer Service Centre or have them mailed to you for a $20 postage fee.
How much is a Personalised plate in SA?
Personalised plates at EzyPlates are a once off fee of $212.
The price doesn’t vary when choosing your size, colour or combination.
